The results from the event, won by former European champion and regular Mid Tour winner Marco Willberg from Pickala, can be seen below.
Well, this was a disappointing couple of rounds. I got a good start on the first day, making par on the first 8 holes, but as the course and my clubs got more and more wet the mistakes started to come. My ball striking was quite poor and I could not hole a putt, every time I missed a green I made a bogey. In the second round I continued to struggle with ball striking and with putting. I have a lot of experience of playing in the wind, and playing in a lot tougher winds than the one we faced at Tali, but to play well in those conditions you really have to control your striking and also the trajectory of the ball... I just couldn't do that this time. The only positive for me is that everyone else struggled in the conditions which allowed me to pick up some ranking points despite a rather poor performance.
Unfortunately the evening events did not count towards the Mid Tour Rankings and after two events there are no Kytäjä players in the top 30 in the mens rankings. Niko Helin is the top Kytäjä player currently (31st) followed by Riku Roine and Andy Fowlie (both T39th), Sampo Laisi (T56th), Jari Pitkälä (T76th) and Petri Syrjänen (94th)
