Some of you have probably been wondering why the competition web pages have not been updated during 2016, so I thought it would be good to explain the reason for this!
As you may have seen, Kytäjä Golf has been renewing their web pages, provided to the club by Golfpiste, and the intention has been that the competition pages would be combined with the main Kytäjä Golf site as part of that process with all the content copied from this site to the new site. That exercise was originally planned to be done before the season started.
Recently the new pages went live and last week the first version of the competition pages became visible, albeit with a lot of content still missing. I believe that the efforts to copy the content will continue for some time still. This work is being done by people from the competition committee, seniors committee and ladies committee. For any comments or suggestions about the new Kytäjä pages, please contact Esko Penttinen or Erkka Ravi. I am no longer involved in any of the committee activities at Kytäjä. These pages and all content within will be kept alive in this site as long as is necessary for the transition to complete, but new content will not be added here.
When I first made this website in 2012 my idea was just to have a place to store the historical results of our competitions, my hope was that I could get it "done" before that season started so that I could concentrate on playing... in the end it became much bigger (and much more work) than the original intention but hopefully it also provided useful and interesting information for Kytäjä members durign the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Wishing all Kytäjä golfers a successful 2016.

P.S. For those who have not been able to find the competition pages in the new Kytäjä site, it may be that you are the latest victim of the recent trend where websites are simplified so much from visual point of view that psychic powers are required to actually find the content. In the Kytäjä case the secret is to click on the "hamburger" at the top of the site (as shown below) and then select "Seura" from the menu that appears. Once the "Seura" page appears another click on the hamburger will reveal the pages that are underneath.
